We were egg-cited to see many families from the Jubilee community come out and celebrate Easter together on Saturday 8 April at Jubilee. There was coffee to keep everyone warm, face painting for all the kids, craft activities, giant games, hot cross buns and the arrival of the Easter Bunny with lots of eggs to hand out to big and small kids!
Life is about small and simple joys and it was wonderful to see the Jubilee residents chatting together about how they were spending Easter with their families. As well as being a significant holiday to celebrate faith, Easter is also about family traditions handed down generation to generation like decorating eggs, making Easter bonnet hats, egg and spoon races, decorations around the home and garden, and a favourite for the kids, the Easter ritual of leaving carrots and other rabbit-friendly treats for the Easter Bunny! Jubileeās Easter celebration was a great opportunity for everyone to share their stories with their neighbours and build a greater sense of belonging as our community grows.
It was great seeing everyone enjoying such an egg-cellent day! Check out a few pics with highlights from the day.
