Movie Night at Stanmore Crescent Park at Jubilee

7th March 2024

Proudly presented by Wyndham Youth Services, the Street Surfer Bus team in partnership with the Jubilee team presented a movie night at Stanmore Crescent Park, Jubilee on Saturday 11 February 2023.

It was a balmy summer evening with hundreds of residents and their families gathered on bean bags and picnic rugs to celebrate and enjoy the movie together.

Everyone appreciated the complimentary snacks of popcorn, fairy floss and coffee while watching the Village Roadshow movie – The Bad Guys. An animated family friendly story about a criminal group of humanlike animals who, upon being caught, pretend to attempt to reform themselves as model citizens, but there is a villain in the mix who ends up having his own plans for all… Twists and turns but a lot of laughs!

All the community had a great night. Check out a few pics below from the evening. Look forward to seeing everyone at the next one…

Celebrations for the new IGA Jubilee

13th September 2023

It was great seeing so many from the Jubilee community come down to the official celebrations of the recently opened IGA Jubilee Plus Liquor supermarket on Saturday 19 August.

The event was a celebration of this community milestone and provided a day of family fun from the live DJ, giant games, face painting, balloon artist, local CFA sausage sizzle and activities with The Nova100 Casanovas Street Team.

The opening of the new IGA Jubilee creates a hub for the community to come together and thrive. Local IGA’s often organise events, sponsor local initiatives and collaborate with community organisations. All these efforts foster a sense of togetherness, boost community pride and provide a space for residents to interact and build relationships.

Brian Seoud, owner of the new IGA Jubilee said, “As a family business and locals to Wyndham Vale area, we are very excited to finally see the opening of our IGA Jubilee Plus Liquor store. Looking forward to your support. Our family and IGA team are also really looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to know the Jubilee and wider community”.

Offering an extensive range of fresh produce, daily convenience items, healthy meal choices, household essentials and international delicacies, plus a boutique liquor store offering a selection of beers, wines and spirits, the IGA Jubilee Plus Liquor has it all under one roof – enhancing your shopping experience right on your doorstep. And don’t forget any of those last-minute needs, like a cooked chicken or that all important take-away coffee from the barista bar.

Come on down and start shopping at the new IGA Jubilee Plus Liquor, open 7 days, 6am to 10pm.

Winners Announced! – Mother’s Day Competition at Jubilee

15th May 2023

We had some fantastic community entries for the Jubilee ‘Mother’s Day Competition’. A huge thank you to all the Jubilee kids who entered, it was an incredible effort by everyone. Please see our three winners, congratulations to them all.

The main winner won a date with their Mum at Tocca Restaurant in Watton Street, Werribee. Part of the Tocca motto is respecting the recipes their Mums created with a bit of a modern twist – so this is just the perfect place for the winner of Mother’s Day to go and celebrate with the family.

The 2-x runner-up winners each received a $50 movie voucher. Thanks again to all the Jubilee kids who entered our competition to honour their amazing Mums and celebrate the special times they enjoy as a family.

Happy Easter from Jubilee!

8th April 2023

We were egg-cited to see many families from the Jubilee community come out and celebrate Easter together on Saturday 8 April at Jubilee. There was coffee to keep everyone warm, face painting for all the kids, craft activities, giant games, hot cross buns and the arrival of the Easter Bunny with lots of eggs to hand out to big and small kids!

Life is about small and simple joys and it was wonderful to see the Jubilee residents chatting together about how they were spending Easter with their families. As well as being a significant holiday to celebrate faith, Easter is also about family traditions handed down generation to generation like decorating eggs, making Easter bonnet hats, egg and spoon races, decorations around the home and garden, and a favourite for the kids, the Easter ritual of leaving carrots and other rabbit-friendly treats for the Easter Bunny! Jubilee’s Easter celebration was a great opportunity for everyone to share their stories with their neighbours and build a greater sense of belonging as our community grows.

It was great seeing everyone enjoying such an egg-cellent day! Check out a few pics with highlights from the day.
